Conclusions made at the international round table Parliamentary immunity and indemnity. Changes to the Constitution
Problematic issues of parliamentary immunity, expert conclusions, options for solving the problem and general conclusion of the international round table.
On october, 4 the USAID RADA Program, jointly with the Centre of Policy and Legal Reform, International IDEA, as well as the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission of the Council of Europe) organized an international round table entitled “Parliamentary Immunity and Indemnity. Changes to the Constitution”. People's deputies of Ukraine, representatives of international organizations, the Secretariat of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as civil society experts participated in the event. The participants discussed whether to abolish or restrict parliamentary immunity and the problems associated with the application of this mechanism.
