Essay Contest “Where am I and the ConstitutiON”

15.12.2015
Constitutional order /
Constitutional reform

The winners will receive the diplomas, a study visit to the Parliament of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada), an internship in a leading think tank Сentre of Policy and Legal Reform and a public coalition Reanimation Package of Reforms to help with bringing their ideas to life.

The way for deep reforms has been opened due to the student peaceful “euromaidans” which at the turn of 2013-2014 escalated into a civil uprising against the corrupt regime and systematic violations of human rights.

However, such open questions remain in the society:

—  Why do we — the citizens — need the Constitution?

—  Do we believe that the Constitution is important to our daily lives?

—  Are we able to conclude a social contract (constitution) and to comply with its provisions?

—  How to bring the authority to follow the Constitution?

—  To the length of what are we ready to go for the fulfillment of our Constitution?

If you are a student with an active lifestyle, we invite you to take part in the all-Ukrainian contest of the students’ essays “Where am I and the ConstitutiON?” which starts on December 15, 2015.
