The European integration Project Manager at the Centre of Policy and Legal Reform Viktoriia Melnyk joined the discussion on the state of reforms and implementation of the Eastern Partnership policy over the past two years, which took place in Brussels.
“The next important step for Ukraine is the opening of negotiations on accession to the EU. We hope that the negotiation process will be launched in the nearest future, as it is not only another stage on the way to the EU, but also an incentive for reforming the country, which is based on the real expectations of Ukrainian society” — said Viktoriia Melnyk during a panel discussion at the 15th EaP CSF Annual Assembly (Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum Annual Assembly).

The expert paid special attention to the role of civil society in European integration processes and expectations for the future development of EU-Ukraine relations.
The 15th Annual Assembly took place on 14-16 November, bringing together more than 250 representatives from civil society organisations from the EaP and the EU, as well as EaP and EU decision-makers to discuss the future shape of Eastern Partnership multilateral cooperation, the role of civil society and how to ensure its future resilience.
