Below is a short history of CPLR&#8217;s relationship to the Constitution of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\t<u><a href=\"\"oldsitelink\/files\/Ukrainian_Constitution.pdf\"\" target=\"\"_blank\"\">The Constitution of Ukraine<\/a><\/u> was adopted by Parliament on June 28, 1996, almost five years after proclamation of the independence of Ukraine on August 24, 1991. The <u><a href=\"\"http:\/\/static.rada.gov.ua\/site\/postanova_eng\/Rres_Declaration_Independence_rev12.htm\"\" target=\"\"_blank\"\">Declaration of Independence<\/a><\/u>&nbsp;was confirmed by more than 90% of the citizens of Ukraine in a referendum on December 1, 1991.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"\"line-height: 1.6;\"\">The adoption of the Constitution was preceded by the conclusion in June 1995 of the Constitutional Treaty between the Parliament and the President containing the basic principles of organization and operation of state and local government in Ukraine for the period until the adoption of the new Constitution of Ukraine.
