{"id":4863,"date":"2021-11-16T09:02:43","date_gmt":"2021-11-16T07:02:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pravo.org.ua\/analytical-materials\/weekly-analytics-for-9-15-november-2021\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T11:16:57","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T09:16:57","slug":"weekly-analytics-for-9-15-november-2021","status":"publish","type":"analytical-materials","link":"https:\/\/pravo.org.ua\/en\/analytical-materials\/weekly-analytics-for-9-15-november-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekly analytics for 9 \u2013 15 November 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"ez-toc-container\" class=\"ez-toc-v2_0_69_1 counter-flat ez-toc-counter ez-toc-transparent ez-toc-container-direction\">\n<div class=\"ez-toc-title-container\">\n<p class=\"ez-toc-title\" style=\"cursor:inherit\">Sections<\/p>\n<span class=\"ez-toc-title-toggle\"><\/span><\/div>\n<nav><ul class='ez-toc-list ez-toc-list-level-1 ' ><li class='ez-toc-page-1'><a class=\"ez-toc-link ez-toc-heading-1\" href=\"https:\/\/pravo.org.ua\/en\/analytical-materials\/weekly-analytics-for-9-15-november-2021\/#The_Ethics_Council_will_start_working_soon\" title=\"The Ethics Council will start working soon\">The Ethics Council will start working soon<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/nav><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Ethics_Council_will_start_working_soon\"><\/span>The Ethics Council will start working soon<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 12, the Council of Judges announced that it had\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/judiciarypressoffice\/posts\/2987376238143770\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">received<\/a>\u00a0a letter from members of the Ethics Council appointed under the quota of international and foreign organizations, informing that they would arrive in Kyiv soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On November 9, the Ethics Council became effective and its creation was welcomed by President\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.president.gov.ua\/news\/prezident-vitaye-priznachennya-pershogo-skladu-etichnoyi-rad-71497?fbclid=IwAR2WY04HpS4XJTIUZGZM1haZSX0v4zJ4HoszAdqHcnZ-CqktqtmDJ1APwGs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/43732151935\/posts\/10159376184976936\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">as well as<\/a>\u00a0by the European Union, the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Canada, the UNDP, and the EBRD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CPLR<\/strong><strong>\u2019<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within the next 6 months, the Ethics Council should review the integrity of the High Council of Justice (HCJ) current members, with an option to recommend the dismissal of those members who do not pass the review. In parallel, the Council will be able to review the integrity of candidates to the HCJ. Competitions for the HCJ positions are currently ongoing for members under the quota of scholars and the Parliament, and in the near future, at least two positions of the HCJ members under the quota of judges will become vacant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be recalled that the integrity review of current and future HCJ members by an independent commission with international participation is the public\u2019s demand and one of Ukraine\u2019s key obligations to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pravo.org.ua\/analytical-materials\/politychnyj-analiz-podij-8-15-chervnya-2020-roku\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Monetary Fund<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pravo.org.ua\/analytical-materials\/politychnyj-analiz-podij-25-serpnya-1-veresnya-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Union<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ethics Council will start working soon Event On November 12, the Council of Judges announced that it had\u00a0received\u00a0a letter from members of the Ethics Council appointed under the quota [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":17765,"template":"","categories":[326],"authors":[],"source":[],"analytics":[400],"class_list":["post-4863","analytical-materials","type-analytical-materials","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-european-integration","analytics-weekly-analytics"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.8.1 -
